25-The search for the golden forest-

After Link entered the great golden palace, and had finally reached the innermost chamber. Link suddenly realized the burden that he carries is over bearing him. The burden of light and hope for all life has turned against himself. Knowing now that that the innermost chamber where the book resided was destroyed and burnt. In turn, it has destroyed Links hope, Link believed the key to finding the location of the golden forest, was to be found there.

Though it has turned out very different, from how Link expected it to be. And what of princess Zelda now and how can Link stop the wizard Agahnim. With the lands ever more turning into the dark veil, Link is now, ever more lost and alone with nowhere to turn to. Link decides to head back towards his home village in the south kingdom beyond the boundaries of the Hyrule boarder. Where, Link there will face the people as a fallen hero. And wait for the demise of the dark veil to appear. As link is about to turn back Link notices a group of clouds forming up above in the sky, an image is formed, it resembles the goddess Link saw in the underworld sanctuary, not so long ago. The voice calls and speaks to Link, the voice is soft and gentle.

-Scene-

Goddess-
Link please!, save all life, for you are the only one, who can accomplish this.

Link -
I have failed you all, the Great palace lays in ruins, and the book you asked me to seek was destroyed. And now, I am lost, as I do not know where to turn to.

Goddess -
You were never lost, only discouragement has forced this on to you. And you have not failed. This was a test placed unto you, and you passed the test when you reached the great palace.

Link -
But what am I to do, my journey ended here.

Goddess -
Head far east across the great bridge, where you shall find a city called Kinehaven. Past this city you will see towering mountains clouded in a large mist. It is here, that the golden forest resides, you will find, the great lake Hyila in the center of this forest. Stand on the southern edge and wait till the three setting suns touch the horizon. As the suns set hold the master sword towards the light, and the way forward shall be shown onto you.

Link gets onto Epona and does as the goddess instructed. Link heads east across the great bridge. Upon reaching the other side, Link notices that this part of Hyrule has lush green lands, full of wild life not in-counted before, in the other the regions within Hyrule. Link carries on, and after days of travelling Link finds the city Kinehaven.

An advanced civilization that houses rare items and foods not known to any other part within Hyrule. Though the people are not to impressed from outside travellers, it appears the veil that threatens the earth. Has made the people in Kinehaven turn to a hostile nature. Link decides to leave the city and search for the golden forest. Link travels further east eventually reaching some towering mountains shielded by a large mist, making it difficult to see. To continue east Link must pass these mountains, So soon after, Link begins to ascend towards the top, of one of the mountains.

Not more than a 100 feet scaled, it soon becomes more and more difficult to see. It becomes so difficult to see that Link is walking almost blindly, At some point, Link misplaces his footing and slips down into a small gorge, where a river is flowing furiously to the north east. Link battles to stay on top of the water but the water current proves to be to much, for Link to sustain and Link is swallowed into the water....

Link awakens in shallow water, it appears to be an area where the river flows into. Link gets up, and climbs up a vine, onto some solid ground. Taking a look at the surroundings there appears to be a huge lake with a forest surrounding the lake. Surrounding the forest to the west lay some mountains covered in mist. To the east some mountains surround part of the forest, though in the north east there is an large opening into the ocean.

Link wonders, could this be the golden forest?, though where are the golden trees told to me by Sahasrahia and the Goddess, this cannot be. "I do not know what has happened to the leaves of these trees but I must believe in myself, that I have reached the golden forest, I must, for the sake of every creature, I must believe this is the golden forest". Link decides to wait at the southern edge. Not knowing if this is indeed the forest he seeks, or even what time it is in the day, as the cloud cover above is to thick to see through. Though some rays of light are able to pierce through the more thinner clouds in the sky.

Link waits blindly for the occurrence, of the 3 setting suns. Soon after the clouds begin to change to a greenish colour, the clouds themselves are thinning out, then the clouds turn to a blue-ish colour. After a short while the clouds thin out even more,so it is possible for Link to see the sky it self. The 3 glorious suns can be seen descending into the horizons. Link holds the master sword towards the light of the 3 suns, as the suns converge the light from the suns hits every leave of every tree in the forest." It is the golden forest “Link says to himself. Link is stunned by this wondrous radiant light.

The forest leaves have transformed into a golden light. The 3 suns have set, though on the surface of the master swords blade, Link can see an image of a darkened forest. A single ray of light shoots out of the blade, pointing towards the forest of golden light. Stunned by the events taken place, Link uses the blade to follow this ray of light, the light has led Link deep into the forest. Where a single tree, unlike the others, it's colour is green. Link approaches the foot of the tree, it is an opening, an entrance of some sort emerges, it appears to be not from this earth but where could this lead?. Link now knows this is his new destination, this was Links chance, Links hope, to end the war, this inner war in the hearts of every creature.

26-The dark forest-

Out of the doorway Link is face by another forest, it becomes apparent quickly, that this forest is shrouded in a green thick mist like substance. The air around the trees, when breathed in is stale and dry, in the distance Link sees creatures fighting amongst themselves. Link has entered the Dark forest. Link must brave these woods, if he is to reach the foreboding tower that sits upon death mountain summit. After travelling sometime, following a broken and dusted trail Link reaches a large rocky wall. Following the perimeter of the wall around, Link spots a cave opening that leads into the mountains. It is there that Link must now enter.

27-Ganondorf's betrayal-

Agahnim makes his final calculations, as the convergence of the 3 moons is soon to take place. The guards have placed all the royal sages and princess Zelda within a spherical room. Agahnim is at the centre of this room and now is set to break the seal, as the 3 moons slowly align, The dark wizard Stands at the altar, Agahnim raises his hands, lightning strikes down on them, another bolt of lightning strikes, this time it hits the altar.

He then begins to chant a language not spoken since ancient times. The skies begin to open as Agahnim continues to chant and soon after, a bright light shines on to the altar, With a thunderous explosion the seal to the timeless void is destroyed, Ganondorf emerges from the smoke and ashes. Clutched within his left hand the Triforce shines a glorious light, Soon my power will return and I will reign and conquer this earth.

-Scene-

Agahnim -
I have prepared the catalyst and it is almost ready Ganondorf, Already all of the sages life force has been drained. We are only now waiting for Zelda's.

Ganondorf -
Good, once I have their life force, the timeless void that they have used to imprison me, in the past, shall never be called onto me again. It is only a matter of time before this world falls. After which the Gods themselves shall fear my wrath. When I use the Triforce of power that they made, against them, I shall stand eternal.

-Scene over-

28-Death mountain summit-

Link exits, the Death mountain cave system, to emerge on top of a plateau. Link can see for miles around, though the thundering heavens prevent any clear visibility. The Death mountain region is a harsh and rocky landscape though Link must reach the top, and soon, for time is running out. Link travels further along, soon after, encountering some steps leading to another high placed plateau.

Heading east Link soon comes to a bridge and cross's it. The bridge has led around, to some more stairs, that lead to higher ground. Finally Link has reached the summit of Death mountain. Heading west towards 2 walls that form a door like entrance, as Link passes this door like structure. After which Link is faced with a huge opening and at the centre of this opening, A huge tower reaching into the clouds is present. This is Ganondorf's tower, Link approaches, and enters this foreboding tower.

29-1st floor Ganondorf's tower and labyrinth-

The door closes behind Link with a large crashing sound. Laughter can be heard echoing throughout the halls of the tower. There is no way back now, so Link moves onwards deeper into the towers structure. Eventually Link enters a huge chamber with guards present. Link must fight his way to the top of this tower. The battle will be long and difficult in reaching the the top but Link must.

After countless rooms and chambers, Link comes to a set of stairs leading upwards to the 2nd floor. It appears to Link, that he must pass through another chamber like room, similar to the one on the 1st floor. After repeating this process 3 more times, Link reaches yet another chamber, though no guards or traps are present. The only thing Link can see is a set of stairs leading upwards, so Link heads up these stairs.

30-6th Floor boss chamber Iron Knuckle-

Upon reaching the 6th floor, the door closes behind Link, Link is now faced with a single corridor, that leads to a large door. The door opens into a grand wide hall, in the middle, a large figure is standing in wait. As Link approaches this large figure, the figure presents himself as the master Knight, Iron Knuckle and unsheathes a large axe like blade. Iron Knuckle seems intent on stopping Link going any further, Link unsheathes the master sword and prepares to fight Iron knuckle.

Iron Knuckles strength is unmatched, the size of Iron Knuckle is the advantage possessed by this knight. Link must use this to his advantage, as Iron knuckles speed is not as prominent as the knights other abilities. Link is able to dodge the attacks from the Iron Knuckle, in doing so, Link is able to attack the knight from behind. As the strenuous battle continues, Link manages to get the upper hand. Soon after, the knight falls to his knees. Link deals the knights final blow, the knight armor begins to crumble away, the armor pieces fall onto the ground and turn to dust.

Though to Links surprise, there is no one inside the suit of armor. Agahnim must of gave life, to this hollow suit of armor, Agahnims power is indeed great, Link says to himself. After the battle with Iron Knuckle, Link sheathes the master sword. Carrying onwards within this grand hall, Link Notices a stairway leading upwards to the next floor. That is Links next destination.

31-7th Floor the Triforce calls-

As Link reaches the 7th Floor, Link feels a strange powerful presence, it feels the Triforce is calling unto Link. It appears though Agahnim has finished the catalyst, this catalyst will give Ganondorf the ability to open and close the timeless void as he sees fit. Rendering anyone else from casting such a seal to have no effect.

This is the only known solution to imprisoning and stopping Ganondorf. Though Can Link find another way?, time is running out. Link starts to believe in the power he now holds, this power he now holds, must stop Ganondorf. Link reaches another set of stairs that lead upward to the next floor.

32-8th floor Agahnims respite-

Link emerges from the stairs, Flickering torch lights cast an eerie shadow along the walls of the corridor. Breathing in the chilled air around him, Link begins to walk down the long dark lit corridor, at the end of the corridor there is a large opening. Suddenly the door closes behind Link, in this new chamber where Link now stands. Link hears foot steps, the flickering light casts a shadow walking towards Link. Agahnim walks in to the light.

-Scene-

Agahnim -
So, you have arrived finally, I would never have guessed, that anyone could of gotten past the barrier I placed around the dark forest. Though a mere boy has accomplished what countless others could not. I should have gotten rid of you at Hyrule castle, no matter. Your efforts were in vain, Ganondorf lives and soon plans a terrible fate, for this earth you so defend.

Link -
I have braved through the darkest reaches of the Hyrule kingdom, to stop your plans and I must, for the sake of all life.

Agahnim -
I give credit to your courage boy but courage alone is not enough to challenge my might. The armies in every land of every kingdom will fall, they will surrender or they will be destroyed, Just, like, YOU!

-Scene over-

33-Boss fight Agahnim-

Agahnim quickly launches an electrical sphere towards Link, Link unsheathes the master sword, though uses his shield to block Agahnims attack. The sphere dissipates into to air, Agahnim is able to use the shadows as a form of transportation. Confusing Link, Link moves into the centre of the chamber to gain a more stable ground of view.

Agahnim appears in one of the corners in the chamber, Agahnim raises his hands and this time creates a bolt of lightning. And aims it at Link, Link has no choice but to jump out of the way from this attack. Again Agahnims falls into the shadows, quickly appearing behind Link, Link spots Agahnim behind him and strikes with the master sword. Link is electrocuted, as contact is made with Agahnim, Agahnim has created some kind of an electrical field around his body. It seems the master sword cannot harm Agahnim in this way.

Link looks for another solution, Agahnim falls into the shadows once again. Agahnim again appears in one of the corners in the chamber and launches another electrical sphere at Link. This time Link deflects the sphere using the master sword back on to agahnim, where in contact, the sphere reacts with Agahnims own electrical field. Agahnim is in shock and falls to his knees, the 2 electrical chargers, have cancelled each other out.

Link sees this, as his chance to attack, with a loud shout, Link lunges the master sword into Agahnims chest. Agahnim falls to the floor and moments after, his body, in a burst of light, dispersers into the atmosphere. Link has defeated the wizard Agahnim.

34-Ganon/Ganondorf Dragmire-

No sooner is Agahnim defeated, link sheaths the master sword and continues into another corridor, which leads around to the highest point in the tower, continuing down the corridor it first appears to be a dead end. Though as link approaches and looks more closely, Link notices a huge hole in the floor, Link decides to jump into the hole.

-Scene-

Link falls and lands facing Ganondorf, Ganondorf turns around and speaks.

Ganondorf -
I do not know how someone so young bested the guardians of my labyrinths. And also managed to defeat the wizard Agahnim But I still possess the Triforce and will never give it up to you.

Link -
No one may possess the Triforce, it belongs to it self, as surly as a soul belongs to it's body.

Ganondorf -
Ah! but in my hands the Triforce will grant me any desires I wish. And my desire is to see the destruction of every land, in every kingdom, within this earth to burn. So I may then begin to construct from the ashes a new world as I see fit.

Link -
The world survives by balance when the balance is tipped in favour of one half resolvment must be attained. Ganondorf I cannot let you continue I cannot let this happen.

Ganondorf -
Ha! you are to resolve me, boy!. You say these words but can you back them up. Prey then that the sword you wield protects you. And prepare yourself for those are the last words you will utter. Prepare to face my true form Ganon, the eternal beast.

-Scene over-

35-The duel with Ganon-

The ground shakes violently, in one hand Ganon  has an enormous blade and in another, the beast wields a Long trident.  Ganon launches himself towards Link with a mighty roar. Link unsheathes the master sword and the blades clash, creating a mighty wake of energy. The battle of heroes has began. Link fights with all his might against Ganons force. After a time Ganon changes his tactics of attack and decides to use the fire of the desert sand, it is a magical form of attack, that only a few, of the dark desert tribe wizards can learn and master.

Ganon is able to create many spheres of fire in one go and direct them in any direction he wishes, and does so towards Links direction. Link is nimble enough to be able to manoeuvre around and dodge the sphere's. Ganon Jumps high into the air and lands, he creates a quake that shakes the ground, the floor around the edge of the chamber begin to give way. The floor Eventually falls, this quake has revealed a bottomless pit that leads into the depths of the mountains.

Ganon jumps towards Link and grabs him, Link struggles, though Ganons grip is to tight and Link is unable to break free. Ganon calls onto the Triforce to destroy Link but the goddesses power received at the sanctuary, protects Link from any harm, Ganon is surprised by this and the grip that holds Link becomes loose. Link sees this as a chance and breaks free from Ganons grip and strikes with the master sword, Ganon suffers minor injuries. "Very good, boy! but can you fight against the secret shadow technique, of the desert tribe", Ganon says. The 2 torches in the chamber die out, Ganon is able to move within the shadows and attack, in doing so confusing Link.

Ganon again creates some fire spheres and directs them towards Link, Link rolls out of the way and gets up. "How can I fight something, I cannot see" Link says, again Ganon creates some more fire projectiles and throws them towards Link, Links only form of defence is to roll out of the way. As Link rolls he directs himself towards one of the torches, Link gets up and decides to re-light the torch. Using his lantern, In doing so Link is able to see more clearly Ganons position, though the figure of Ganon, is still not clear enough.

Link runs to the other side to try and light the other torch, halfway across the chamber Ganon launches another projectile of fire towards Link. Link jumps out of the way and lands by the other torch, lighting it, Ganon is fully visible to the eye. As Ganon prepares another attack Link runs towards Ganon and with all his might, impales Ganon as he stands.

Ganon falls to his knees, with the master sword still embedded through his torso. Ganon begins to breathe heavily, gasp after gasp, Ganon begins to pull the impaled master sword out of his body. Link wonders how can this be, Ganon seems to be invincible. Then suddenly Link remembers what the Goddess told him. “The silver arrows you now possess, will deal the final blow against this threat of shadows".

While Ganon is weak, on his knees, Link holds the goddesses bow out and takes one of the arrows from the quiver, held on Links back by a strap. Link pulls the arrow back, with his last ounce of strength, Link lets the arrow go, it flies into the very heart of Ganon. Ganon falls to the floor, as he falls he lets the Triforce go and in doing so, the power of the Triforce, fades from within Ganon. Its life given properties demises, as Ganon hits the floor a burst of light explodes around Ganon, enveloping him completely.

Then in a flash the light disappears, then dead silence is all that can be heard. As Link stands alone in the empty chamber, the master sword drops onto the floor, Link walks towards the master sword and picks it up. Link has emerged the victor and the saviour of all life.

36-The Triforce is whole again-

Standing in the centre of the chamber, Link notices 3 bright lights, shining high above him. The bright lights begin to slowly descend towards Link, they converge into 1,Link extends his hands to greet this Light. The Lights begin to transform into a triangle like object, Link holds out his palms and lets the object rest on them. The Triforce speaks to Link

-Scene-

Triforce -
This, that lays in your hands is called the Triforce, we created it at the dawn of this world's creation.
It was a gift, to all life that lived on this earth, though it was  unexpected that any soul would wish to claim it.
When Ganondorf took it unto himself to find the resting place of the Triforce.
The golden forest where the Triforce resided, began to lose it's golden light.

The claimed Triforce offered him, an unlimited power.
With this power Ganondorf turned against himself and in doing so turned against life it self.
Ganondorf used the Triforce for his own gain, though the Triforce it self does not know right or wrong, it simply is.

The near destruction of this planet was due to that fact.
For one with a heart like Ganondorf’s can never be content. To always
want to never give, to hold complete power and control the light soon demised.
Though in that hour of darkness, one, you, Link, proved that light still existed.

Now within your hands, lays the power to undo that, what was done.
The power, that we as gods possess, is also held within the Triforce you now hold.
All you have to do is make a wish, a wish from your heart and it shall come to be.

-Scene over-

37-The Triforce wish-

Link holds the Triforce and extends his arms upwards and makes a wish." What was done to earth by Ganondorf and Agahnim, become undone". The Triforce begins to spin and rise out of Links hands and a radiant shimmering light emerges from the Triforce. Which begins to gradually envelope the room Link is standing in. The light begins to extend beyond the room, beyond the tower, beyond the mountains, forest, lakes and valleys, within the Hyrule kingdom.

The light eventually envelops the entire earth, then in a wondrous flash the light disappears. The Triforce floats back down towards Links hands. Link extends his arms upwards and makes another wish." Please take me to where princess Zelda sleeps" The Triforce again begins to spin and rise out of Links hands and a radiant shimmering light emerges, the light gradually envelops Link.

38-Credits Link frees princess Zelda-

The light slowly fades away, and the Triforce floats back towards Link. Standing now present, in the chamber where the sages and princess Zelda are held, suspended lifelessly in the air.

Link makes another wish," Within these crystal shards let those that sleep now awake" The Triforce then begins to spin above the central crystal shard, where Zelda rests. A beam of light shoots out of the Triforce into all the shards. The shards themselves begin to crack and fall apart; leaving only the bodies that were held within them remain.

All the bodies then begin to descend gradually towards the floor, were they slowly regain consciousness. They are all in a weak state; Link goes to princess Zelda and holds her.

-Scene-

Link -
 Is everything okay, Zelda?.

Zelda -
Yes, I seem fine, is it all over?.

Link -
I believe so princess, I just wish I could of come to your aid sooner.

Zelda -
You have done more than one could wish for, we could not have asked for anymore, Thank you...Link, Though I must ask, What of my father, is he?...

Link -
The Triforce has undone, all of that, what Ganondorf had done, the King should be fine.

Zelda -
Then Link, lets all go back, back to Hyrule castle.

Link -
There is one more thing Zelda, that I need to do and that is to return the Triforce, back to where it rightfully belongs. It is too dangerous, for this power should not belong to anyone. It must rest again, out of reach, from mortal hands.

-Scene over-

And once again Link extends his arms upwards and makes one final wish." Please Triforce return to the golden forest and cast your light once more" The Triforce again begins to spin and rise out of Links hands, and a radiant shimmering light emerges, with a wondrous flash the Triforce disappears.

Zelda understood what link had just done, the sages, Link and Zelda prepare themselves. After which they all begin to slowly make there way down, towards the exit, out of the tower.

39-The journey home-

Outside they are greeted with a bright blue sky, the sun shining across the land of the Hyrule kingdom. Waiting for them outside near the entrance of the tower, is Epona, Link is surprised to see that she is not alone, Epona has brought friends along. There is enough horses to help carry all of them back to Hyrule castle.

Link helps Zelda and the sages onto the horses, then Link climbs up onto Epona, where they then begin to slowly make there way back to the Hyrule capital. As they are heading through the Dark forest, Link notices that the mist that surrounded the forest before, starts to fade away, the leaves of the trees begin to return to their normal greenish colour.

On their way back, Link heads to the New Kasuto town, where he thanks Malon and Sahasrahia for all the help they had given him. After Link gives his thanks they all depart towards Hyrule castle. Which, the sun at that point, is soon to fall behind the horizon.

40-The awakening of peace in Hyrule-

After entering the capital, loud cheering can be heard, there is an incredible feeling of joy and happiness, from the crowds of people that walk the streets of the city. They reach Hyrule castle. Zelda, Link and the sages dismount and head north towards the castle court room.

-Scene-

-Inside-

(Link kneels in front of the King.)

King -
Stand, please, it is I who should be kneeling in front of you.

(Link stands up. A tear falls from the kings eyes, the king faces Zelda.)

King -
Zelda, you are safe, I am thankful, for no harm has come to you
(Puts his arms around his daughter, then the king faces Link.)

King -
Link, you have saved us all, we will always be in your debt thank you. I would like to celebrate this joyous occasion with the largest banquet, the kingdom of Hyrule has ever seen.

-Scene over-

41-Princess Zelda's remembrance-

As everyone is enjoying the grand banquet, the king asks Link has he seen Zelda, for it is, as much a celebration for us and the people of Hyrule, as it is for her. Link tells the king that he will go to her quarters to see if she is okay.

-Scene-

(Link knocks on the door to princess Zelda's quarters.)

Zelda -
It is okay, you may enter

Link -
Zelda, are you okay, for you have not appeared at the banquet this evening.

(Zelda looks out the window in her room, staring into the countryside of Hyrule with a deep thought in her side.)

Zelda -
I have never heard the people of Hyrule sound this happy. I cannot help but wonder is Ganondorf really destroyed.

Link -
Ganondorf is a representation, of traits we all possess. We all have that choice in life. When Ganondorf turned against himself, the essence of life around him began to fade away. He used the Triforce, to fill that void, which he himself had created. In turn the power he sought destroyed the remaining humanity left inside of him. A part of me even feels sorry for him.

Zelda -
Link, how can you say such words, he threatened the destruction of this world, he would of never ceased. Even the gods would have feared him, if he had succeeded in his quest.

(Link looks out of the window.)

Link -
To never smile or laugh, to never look up and see the skies, to never admire the lands. To only care for ones self, one cannot say, that they have truly lived at all. In fact, the day that Ganondorf decided to seek the Triforce, was the day that Ganondorf had truly died.

Zelda -
When said like this, I to feel sorry for him. Link, what happens if Ganondorf or someone like him, was to arise?. I do not believe these lands could take such a torment again.

Link -
The master-sword will always call for another, another to come to the aid of the people. Another to hold a beacon of light within the darkness, Life exists because of these opposites. And if the balance is tipped in favour of one. Then the master sword will call on someone, someone who will be ready to bring balance to the scales of life.

-Scene over-

42-The sunsets on the continent of Hyrule-

Link and Zelda look out of the window together

-Scene-

Link -
Zelda, lets go to the banquet, they are celebrating, that piece has returned, this should be a joyous occasion. Not a time to be dwelling, on the past.

Zelda -
You are right Link, lets go.

(Link and Zelda head downstairs, towards where the banquet is being held.

After a time of celebrating, Link mentions to the King of leaving the banquet early, the king asks why.)

Link -
I must leave, I must return the master-sword to it's rightful place and my home land beckons me, I long to see the people of my village, though I shall return one day.

King -
Then Link, you must go, you will always be welcomed here, we look forward to your return.

(Link goes outside and readies Epona to leave.)

Zelda -
Leaving so soon.

Link -
Sorry Zelda, I did not wish to intrude my matters on to you.

Zelda -
You are readying Epona, where shall you go?

Link -
I must return the master-sword, the beacon of light, to where it rightfully belongs.

Zelda -
Where will you go, after the sword is returned.

Link -
I long to head back to my homeland in the south, past the hyrule boarders. It has been sometime, since I have seen, the people of my village.

Zelda -
I see, Link, will you ever return to Hyrule?

Link -
I will return one day, I promise you, Zelda.

Zelda -
Link, I shall miss the short time we have spent together.

Link -
As shall I.

Zelda -
Then it is goodbye, may your journey continue and all you do be full of good and kindness.

Link -
Goodbye princess Zelda, may peace reign in the Hyrule kingdom.

-Scene over-

Link and Epona make there way, out of Hyrule castle, across the Hyrule plains.

43-The master sword is returned-

Dawn is appearing as Link and Epona near the entrance into the lostwoods, Link and Epona head into the forest. Eventually they reach some stairs and Link dismounts of Epona. Link walks up the steps and unsheathes the master-sword and places the sword back onto the pedestal of light. Where it shall lay, asleep, forever.
